Do You Need A Certificate Of Compliance?

A Certificate of Compliance/Opinion on Compliance is required for all new build work, alterations, extensions and additions to existing property to ensure all works have been carried out in accordance with the Planning and Building Regulations of Ireland. One of our expert engineers will complete the Certificate of Compliance to certify that your build is compliant. Any sale you wish to make or indeed when you are dealing with a mortgage a Certificate of Compliance is necessary.

If you do not have a Certificate of Compliance with the Building and Planning Regulations for renovations to your property, we will provide the Opinion on Compliance after the completion of the project based on a visual inspection of the works. Either way, you can rely on us to ensure it is handled in a professional and prompt manner.

We provide certificates of compliance/opinions on compliance in accordance with the Planning Regulations of Ireland, first introduced by the Local Government (Planning & Development) Act 1963 and amended in 2000.

All certificates of compliance/opinions on compliance are adhered to by:

  • The Building Control Acts, 1990 & 2007
  • Building Regulations 1997 – 2013, and
  • Building Control Regulations 1997 – 2014
